Professional Biography

Rick Pessagno is seasoned psychiatric-mental health advanced practice nurse with over 30 years of experience. He completed his doctoral studies in nursing at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA. His scholarship and clinical interest focus on thanatology.  He has been recognized for his contributions to nursing educaton, clinical practice, and organizational leadership by the New Jersey Society of Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurses, the Association for Death Education and Counseing, the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Assocation, and the American Assocation of Nurse Practitioners.  He is a Fellow of the American Assocation of Nurse Practitioners.
